Descrizione
Still Life of Caravaggio is a painting by the Italian artist Caravaggio, created around 1596. It is considered one of the first examples of still life in European painting. In the painting, Caravaggio depicts a wicker basket filled with fruit, including grapes, apples, pears, and peaches. The composition follows the ancient style with a level of detail and naturalistic rendering that were innovative for the time.
