Iguarnieri’s painting ‘Nude Venus’ depicts a female figure inspired by the Venus de Milo, with an armless torso. In addition to being realized in cool shades of blue and grey, the texture of the painting suggests a rough and worn surface, as if the figure were carved in marble and had withstood the passage of time. The contours of the body are defined by dark, marked lines, emphasizing the natural shapes of the breasts, abdomen and hips. Venus, partially covered by a drape, conveys a classical and timeless beauty.
