Graffito Poppies provides a modern interpretation of the formal and conceptual styles that the masters of modern art used. In this work, artists expressed themselves through graphic dominance, simplistic forms, and flat colors.
THE TECHNIQUE
The luminosity in the graffiti style of the poppies originates from using aluminum as a base material, exposed after removing the paint. This creates a fascinating play of light and shadow, highlighting the texture of the support. The result is meticulous work on the petals, sometimes simple but always executed with great refinement. It is the outcome of years of research and study.
